Baseline Of Health® Foundation Promotes Natural Hormonal Balancing For National Women’s Health Week ™

LAS VEGAS, May 8 /PRNewswire/ — For National Women’s Health Week (May 14th-20th), Baseline of Health’s® founder, Jon Barron, is reminding women to not forget an often overlooked health problem today: hormonal imbalance. Although Jon Barron commonly recommends for women to balance estrogen by using natural progesterone cream, this year he is reminding women about the importance of healthy testosterone levels since it is associated with staying fit, lean, sexually active, and potentially reducing heart disease and breast cancer.

Not only does free circulating testosterone decrease as women age, but the January 2006 issue of The Journal of Sexual Medicine reported on a study that showed oral contraceptive (OC) use reduced bio-available testosterone, even after discontinuing use. This may explain why women gain body fat while on birth control. In support, a scientific study reported in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism has shown that obese women given low doses of testosterone lost more body fat, subcutaneous abdominal fat, and gained more muscle mass than women given a placebo.

Besides helping women gain lean muscle mass and maintain a healthy sex life, an intriguing report in the Journal of Women’s Health stated that testosterone deficiency is a key predictive factor for heart disease in aging women or women who have had hysterectomies. Women who have hysterectomies generally receive estrogen replacement therapy but not testosterone replacement, which may explain why they are 3 times more likely to develop cardiovascular disease.

Other studies show that testosterone may help guard women against breast cancer. A recent study published in Menopause, 2003 showed that testosterone significantly inhibits breast cell growth, leading the authors to conclude that testosterone may protect against breast cancer.

Rather than taking supplemental testosterone, Jon Barron recommends “unbinding” the testosterone that is already in the body but has been rendered “unavailable” over time. A complete explanation is available at: /newsletters/news060508.htm. This can be easily accomplished through certain all-natural organic herbal extracts including Saw palmetto, Wild oats, and Nettles. Another herb, Puncture weed, enhances testosterone levels by increasing luteinizing hormone, which is responsible for “telling” your body to produce testosterone in the first place. And still other herbs such as Damiana, Muira puama, Mucuna pruriens (Kapikachu), Siberian ginseng, Kola nut, Ginger, Wild yam, Licorice, Sarsaparilla, and Puncture Weed can augment the effect by increasing libido, raising energy levels, rebuilding the adrenal glands, and regenerating thinning hair. When all of these are combined together in a single formula, they have profound effects on a woman’s energy level, libido, and testosterone balance.

Jon Barron formulated a product for Baseline Nutritionals® called Women’s Formula with all of the above-mentioned ingredients. The product is currently on sale for $34.95 a bottled atwww.baselinenutritionals.com
