According to a recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only 26% of the adult population eats vegetables - despite a ten year effort by the federal government to get Americans to eat more of them. Unfortunately, as a nation, we still haven't achieved the modest goals set by public health officials so long ago. While a few people might be more willing to incorporate vegetables into their diet, many people are undereducated about the many fast and easy ways to prepare fresh food, lack the confidence to prepare it or make it attractive to children, or haven't cooked them in so long they don't know what to do with them once they bring them home. Reacquaint yourself with the importance of vegetables in your daily diet with this health podcast.
